The Batesburg-Leesville varsity boys basketball team struggled last week as they fell to Ninety Six on the road and at home against Abbeville.  The Panthers are now 7-12 overall and 3-5 in Region 2-AA.  The Panthers host Strom Thurmond Tuesday and Saluda Thursday in the regular season finale.

Strom Thurmond is in first place in the region at 7-1 while Abbeville is second at 6-2.  Ninety Six is third after knocking off B-L last week at 5-3 while B-L is in fourth place at 3-5.  Saluda is in fifth place at 2-6 while Crescent is last at 1-7.  Saluda plays Crescent on Tuesday before traveling to B-L Thursday night in a game which will likely send the winner to the playoffs and see the loser put their uniforms away for the last time.
