The Batesburg-Leesville Athletic Hall of Fame induction banquet was held Saturday night at the Leesville United Methodist Church fellowship hall. A good crowd was on hand to share the special night with six new inductees from the Classes of 2014 and 2015. The Class of 2014 included Betsy Bouknight-Pierce, Heyward Rawl and the late James Riley while the Class of 2015 included Ed Boukight, Ty Bouknight and Ed Paulling. Along with the new inductees nine other Hall of Famers were in attendance to share the night with the new inductees. Some of the highlights included Ed Bouknight, who was a star halfback on the 1966 Class A Lower State Championship team, sharing the joy of not only being inducted into the Hall of Fame but going in along with two of his children.
