New law enforcement instructor joins B-L High faculty

Aqkwele Polidore

Aqkwele Polidore joined the faculty of Batesburg-Leesville High School as the Law Enforcement and Fire Instructor on January 5. Before coming to Lexington Three, Mrs. Polidore served for 18 years as a Crime Prevention Specialist with Orangeburg Department of Public Safety and also worked for two years as a guid-ance counselor for Orange- burg School District 5. She is a graduate of Claflin College where she received a BS in Elementary Education and also received an M.Ed in Counseling Education and Ed.S as an Education Specialist from South Carolina State University. During this semester, Ms. Polidore will teach Introduction to Protective Services, Firefighter, Emergency and Medical Services, and Law and Public Safety Work Based. She plans to invite experts in these fields to speak to her students to provide them with practical information that will be useful if they choose to fol- low a career path in law enforcement or public safety. Mrs. Polidore is the mother of two children and makes her home in Orangeburg.
