Batesburg-Services for Jimmy S. Cook, 86, will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel with the Rev. Henry Stamper officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Michael J. Mr. Cook passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017. Born in Leesville, he was a son of the late John Paul and Corrie Senn Cook. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Batesburg, was an Army Veteran of Korea, and retired from the Savannah River Plant with 35 years of service.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Nan Cook; daughters Susan (Stephen) Rooks and Linda (Jimmy) Jackson; brother, Carl (Mary) Cook; sister, Dorothy (Dwight) Hall; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Keith Cook.
