Deadline is June 14: Vendor applications and vendor guidelines are available online at www.lexingtoncountypeachfestival.com for Arts & Crafts vendors at this year’s 59th Lexington County Peach Festival on July 4th. Vendor booths are a standard 12’ x 12’ at a cost of $75 per exhibit space. An adjoining 12’ x 12’ space may be purchased for an additional $60. The deadline for reserving a space is June 14. June 4-9: Youth Camp June 4-9th. Action packed fun and Christian learning for kids 7-18. There will be team building and sports activities, evening services, a firework display, and much more. Located in Elgin, SC. Cost is $80/week. For more info, please call Keith at 864.910.5009.

June 9: The Batesburg-Leesville Chamber of Commerce & Visitor’s Center will conduct a Ribbon Cutting at Havana’s Cuban Eatery, 231 East Columbia Ave., Batesburg-Leesville on Friday, June 9 at 2:00 PM.

June 10: Chicken Supper Benefit for Rickey and Tasha Rodgers family to be held on June 10, 2017, 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Richland Springs Baptist Church, 1895 Duncan Road, Ward. June 10: Farmers Market at St. John’s UMC Batesburg: St. John’s United Methodist Church Farmers’ Market was launched in October 2014 in order to bring more fresh and local fruits and vegetables to our community. We would like to offer the community access to fruits, vegetables and other agricultural products such as eggs, jams, herbs, honey, at a great location. Vendors are Terra Kotta Farm, Dixie Ridge Growers, Rockin’ R & K Farm, Watsonia Farms, Olson’s Free Range Eggs, Fair Trade (coffee, nuts, candy bars), and more. June 10: The Bryant-Hall Senior Missionary of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church will be having their 3rd annual food drive for The Christian Ministry on June 10, 2017, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Friendship parking lot, 302 Brodie Rd., Leesville. Thanking you in advance for your support.

June 12: Utopia Farmers Market will open its 2nd summer season on June 12, Monday, at 4 PM until dark. The market will run every Monday afternoon in June, July & August. It will be at the same site, 133 North Hendrix St. across from the new Herlong Chevrolet. We accept WIC/Senior Vouchers and SNAP/EBT cards. June 14: Heart Health Screening: The Batesburg-Leesville Chamber of Commerce & Visitor’s Center and Lexington Medical Center will have a free screening on June 14th from 7:30 until 10:00 AM which includes blood pressure assessment, blood sugar test, and lipid profile (total cholesterol, HDL,LDL, and triglycerides). June 15: The Lexington County Registration and Election Commission will have a public certification test of the equipment used during counting of ballots for the City of West Columbia Special Election on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 9 a.m. at the Registration and Elections office at the Lexington County Auxiliary Administration Building, 605 West Main St. Suite 105, Lexington.

June 26-30: Vacation Bible School for Hollywood Baptist Church will be held June 26-30 from 6-8:30 pm. The theme is Passport to Peru, come and join us!

The Lexington County Veterans’ Affairs officer, Ed Lundeen, meets veterans, surviving spouses dependents and beneficiaries at the Batesburg-Leesville Branch Library the second Friday of each month from 10 a.m.- noon.

Town of Gilbert welcomes you to visit our Depot Museum the first Sunday of each month from 2-5 p.m. It is located at 333 Hampton Street. Donations are accepted. To schedule appointments, please call 892-2344.

The Christian Ministry Center, 1408 Summerland Ave., Batesburg. The pantry days and hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9-11:30 a.m. for clients; 8 a.m.-noon for donations. Food and clothes are provided free of charge with an application process. The Christian Ministry Center serves those in need.

Operation Reach Out hours: Thrift Store and Emergency Food Pantry, at 519 E. Columbia Ave., open Saturdays from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. We also deliver meals to home bound and have a Thrift Store open to all, no discrimination.

The Alzheimer’s Caregiver’s Support Group of Saluda County will meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the Ridge Spring Library at 7:00 PM. Any questions regarding this group contact 803-687-1087.
