As Lexington County School District Three employees settle in for the new school year, administrators encourage those who are interested in learning more about the general theme of leadership to participate in this year’s district-sponsored Leadership 3.0 Seminar.

Any District Three employee who would like to participate in this year’s Leadership 3.0 Seminar is encouraged to attend the first meeting, which is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 17 at the District Office starting at 4 p.m. The group will then meet throughout the school year on the third Tuesday of every month.

The 2019-2020 school year will mark the fourth year in a row that the program has been offered to District Three employees, with topics in previous years centering around former Superintendent Dr. Randall Gary’s “Framework for Successful Leaders” matrix, leadership methodologies, and educational policy.

This year’s program will focus on educational funding in South Carolina. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from various guest speakers, learn where funding for public education comes from in the Palmetto State, and visit the Statehouse when the General Assembly convenes in the spring. At the end of the session, participants will present what they have learned from their studies at a year-end celebration
