Town Council to discuss possible new entrance signs

What will visitors see at the entrance to the Town of Batesburg-Leesville? That question could be explored Monday at the Batesburg-Leesville Town Council meeting.

Folks traveling through Batesburg-Leesville could see a somewhat different “Welcome” at the edge of town.

The Batesburg-Leesville Town Council is scheduled to hold its monthly meeting this Monday, August 12, and the only order of New Business listed on the meeting agenda is “Discussion Regarding the Possibility of New Town Entrance Signs.” The meeting is slated to start at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall Complex, 120 West Church Street.

An executive session also is on the agenda to discuss three contractual matters: building inspection services, disposal services, and a Student Resource Office contract with Lexington School District 3.

This month’s meeting will be the first to follow the announcement earlier this week of Jason “Jay” Hendrix as the new Assistant Town Manager. The full meeting agenda (plus videos and minutes from previous meetings) can be found at www.batesburg-leesville.org/meeting-agendas-and-minutes.
