LEXINGTON, S.C. — Lexington County School District One will make up the Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, missed school day due to weather by using Friday, March 30, 2018.
Lexington County School District One sets high expectations for every student. The district provides the environment, instruction and support needed to ensure that our students learn, and, as part of that, the district protects instructional time.
By law (Section 59-1-425 of the South Carolina Code of Laws), districts are required to include at least three severe weather make-up days in each year’s academic school calendar. The district included those three days (Feb. 19, March 30, May 25) in this year’s academic calendar.
This is the second weather makeup day, Lexington District One will use.
The district will also use Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, to make up the day students and staff missed on Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, due to Hurricane Irma.
